The English & Philosophy Department brings a renowned poet, fiction writer or essayist to campus each semester, to meet with students and to offer a public reading of their work.
MacArthur Fellow and Pulitzer Prize Finalist, the fiction writer Kelly Link will be on MCLA's campus working with students and offering a public reading on Thursday, March 13 at 6 pm in the CSI Atrium. This event is free and open to the public.
Link is the author of multiple collections of short fictions, including Stranger Things Happen, Magic for Beginners, Pretty Monsters, Get in Trouble, and White Cat, Black Dog. Her debut novel The Book of Love was published last year to critical acclaim. The editor of various anthologies, including multiple volumes of The Year’s Best Fantasy and Horror and, for young adults, Steampunk! and Monstrous Affections, Link is the co-founder of Small Beer Press; she co-edits the occasional zine Lady Churchill’s Rosebud Wristlet; and she is the owner of Book Moon, an independent bookshop in Easthampton, MA.
