TechFest 2027

It's never too early to start thinking about TechFest! Mark your calendars for Tuesday, May 19, 2027.

Since 2008, the Center for Academic Technology has offered TechFest, our annual, day-long conference for faculty and staff to explore new technologies and their uses, to showcase creative projects and initiatives, and to connect technology with teaching practice.

HTML (the Hypertext Markup Language) and CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) are two of the core technologies for building Web pages. HTML provides the structure of the page, CSS the (visual and aural) layout, for a variety of devices.

Want to learn some of the basics of these languages? 

  • Codecademy is an online interactive platform that offers free coding classes in six different programming languages.
  • CodePen: Test, share, and discover code snippets.
  • freeCodeCamp is a platform and community that helps you learn to code by completing coding challenges and building projects. The curriculum includes HTML, JavaScript, machine learning with Python, and more.
