About me

Ashley Eliza Williams is a painter, sculptor, and multidisciplinary artist exploring new ways of interacting with nature and with each other. She is interested in future geology, post-human landscapes, cloud shadows, furry whales, and indicator species.

She is a founding member of two artist collectives based in Denver and NYC, and she has shown her work nationally and internationally, including at The Hersbruck Museum in Germany, The Shangyuan Art Museum in China, and The National Center for Atmospheric Research.

Ashley received her BA degree in art history and studio art from UVA in 2009. She was a UVA Aunspaugh Fellow in 2009-2010, and she received her MFA from The University of Colorado in 2013. She has attended artist residencies in the United States, Germany, Thailand, and China. She moved to North Adams through the Assets for Artists MASS MoCA North Adams Project in 2017.
