NORTH ADAMS, MA—Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (MCLA) announces that registration
for summer class sessions will begin on March 1, 2019. Registration is open to all,
from MCLA students to interested community members to Berkshire-based college students
who are home for the summer and wish to earn additional credits toward their degree
from another institution.
MCLA is offering three summer sessions. Session A runs from May 28, 2019-July 5, 2019;
Session B runs from June 24, 2019 to Aug. 2, 2019; and Session C runs from July 8,
2019 to August 16, 2019. The summer catalog also offers graduate level courses for
the Master of Business Administration and the Master of Education programs as well
as a variety of summer camps and sports clinics. MCLA continues to expand the number
and range of online, and evening courses offered each summer, striving to accommodate
the busy schedules of working adults, undergraduates, and high school students. In
addition the College will be offering courses that meet one night per week in Pittsfield
designed for the Degree Completion Program but are open to other students this summer.
“Summer classes are a great way to earn credits toward your degree in an accelerated
environment,” says Dr. Josh Mendel, MCLA’s director of recruitment and outreach for
the Division of Graduate and Continuing Education. “Our goal is to build on our summer
offerings each year, making sure there are options available to fit every schedule,
from potential full-time summer students to busy working professionals.”
MCLA is offering free summer housing for those who qualify; financial assistance is
