MCLA to Deliver Free College Planning Workshop for Berkshire County Students

June 14, 2022

Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (MCLA) will present a free intensive college planning workshop for current Berkshire County high school juniors and sophomores, Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays, July 7–29, from 9–11 a.m. High school and college professionals will provide students with support and assistance in navigating the college planning process. This program offers an in-depth opportunity for students to craft a college essay, learn how to communicate with college officials, prepare for interviews, understand tuition and financial aid, and build the academic and professional self-confidence to begin the transition from high school to college. The workshop is an important next step for students to immerse themselves in the strategic process of college planning.

Students will meet in person at MCLA–Pittsfield, 66 Allen Street, next to City Hall. Individual appointments with a coordinator will be available after the workshops, from 11 a.m.–12 p.m. A high school transcript and proof of COVID vaccination and booster are required. Complete the online application here.
