He has appeared or recorded with artists such as Anthony Braxton (composer-saxophonist), Uri Caine (composer-pianist), John Cale of the Velvet Underground, Steve Coleman (composer-saxophonist), Joe Jackson (Grammy winner, singer-songwriter), Dave Liebman (saxophonist, flautist and jazz educator), Yo-Yo Ma (Grammy winner, cellist), Graham Nash (rock and roll hall of fame, singer-songwriter), Greg Osby (saxophonist), Steve Reich (Pultizer Prize for music), Marcus Roberts (composer, pianist) and Todd Rundgren (Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, singer-songwriter).
The evening begins at 7:30 with a performance from the MCLA Wind Ensemble, three student voice performers, and one monologue by an MCLA theatre student. Reynolds will then take the stage at 8 p.m., transforming the Church Street Center as he does when he plays Carnegie Hall, with his classical violin plugged into digital technology.
