The MCLA Athletics Golf Classic will make its return Monday, Aug. 2 at Berkshire Hills Country Club in Pittsfield after a one year absence due to the pandemic. The Golf Classic serves as a major fundraiser for the College’s Athletics Department. Over the years, the Classic has netted more than $40,000 in funds to support the MCLA’s student-athletes.
Jointly hosted by the offices of Institutional Advancement and Athletics, this year’s event will honor 2020 and 2021 senior student-athletes, who either had significant portions of their season cut short or were unable to begin their season as a result of the pandemic.
The format for the event is an 18-hole scramble, and the entry cost includes greens fees, golf cart rental, lunch, a tee gift, raffle tickets, and prizes.
This year’s President’s Club Title Sponsor of the Golf Classic is MountainOne Bank. Leadership-level sponsors of the event include Petri Contracting, Adams Community Bank, Alton & Westall Real Estate Agency, Casella Waste System, Inc., and ARAMARK Eastern Region.
Additional event sponsors include: Berkshire Bank Foundation; Cutillo Communications LLC; D.A. Sullivan & Sons, Inc.; EDM Services, Inc.; Greylock Federal Credit Union; J.H.
