NORTH ADAMS, MASS. — Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (MCLA) will host its second
annual Career and Internship Fair on Thursday, Oct. 17, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This
event, which is open to all MCLA students and alumni, as well as to Berkshire Community
College (BCC) students, will take place in the Amsler Campus Center’s Venable Gym
on the MCLA campus.
The objective of this event is to connect local students and alumni who seek full-time
employment or internships to employers who are looking to fill positions within their
organizations — in the area, the region, and the nation.
According to Anthony Napolitano, Jr., internship coordinator at the College’s Center
for Student Success and Engagement (CSSE), MCLA’s Fall Career and Internship Fair
is a tremendous opportunity for recruiters and employers to connect with prospective
employees and/or future interns, while at the same time promoting their places of
business.
“Professionals in attendance will be able to meet MCLA students, collect their resumes
and conduct on-site interviews — all in one day and in the same location. This will
prove especially helpful to employers who have positions that need to be filled in
a timely manner,” Napolitano said.
MCLA welcomes professional organizations from all sectors to participate in this
event. More than 40 selected employers plan to take part in the Fair, including Berkshire
Health Systems, General Dynamics Mission Systems, Berkshire Arts & Technology (BART)
Charter Public School, and Scribe America.
Students and alumni will have the opportunity to network with employers from 10 a.m.
to 1:30 p.m. In addition, employers may elect to conduct on-campus interviews with
students and/or alumni from 1:30 to 2 p.m.
The MCLA Office of Career Development will welcome employer registration for this
event through Monday, Oct. 7. For more information and to register, please contact
Tony Napolitano at (413) 662-5332, or Anthony.Napolitano.Jr@mcla.edu.
