NORTH ADAMS, MASS. — Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (MCLA) encourages all community
members to participate in the Spring Community Day of Service from 8:30 a.m. to 2
p.m. on Saturday, April 13.
Volunteers can register via the College’s registration form here.
Sign-in will take place at 8:30 a.m. on April 13 in MCLA’s Venable Gym, where coffee,
tea and light refreshments will be served. A welcome will take place at 9 a.m., before
participants are directed to their on-site or off-site service assignments.
The day will include projects suitable for all ages and abilities.
MCLA students and local residents will choose from more than 10 sites to provide service
to the community, including the Berkshire Food Project, YMCA, Louison House, Habitat
for Humanity and New Hope Church.
In addition, a variety of projects will take place at Venable Gym, including plastic
mat weaving and making cards for hospitalized children.
All participants are invited to return to Venable Gym at 1 p.m. to share a free lunch
and community celebration.
The Spring Community Day of Service is supported annually by hundreds of MCLA volunteers,
the MCLA Volunteer Center, and the contributions of many local community members.
