WHAT:
The MCLA Science & Robotic and Young Hacks summer camps, as well as the Boy Scouts
of America, have partnered with General Dynamics and the U.S. Navy to learn about
and build model rockets and will be demonstrating them at noon on July 24 at Joe Wolfe
Field.
On July 23, students will be treated to a pizza lunch, tour of General Dynamics, and
a presentation by a U.S. Navy Representative. They also will learn more about local
STEM initiatives and opportunities.
This initiative came about as a result of a convening of the Aspirations Committee
of the Berkshire Compact, which connected all the program partners to help the idea
come to fruition.
