MCLA TO HOLD 24th ANNUAL STUDENT LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE

NORTH ADAMS, MASS. — Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (MCLA) announces the campus will host the 24th Annual Student Leadership Conference, “Leaders of the Round Table,” on Saturday, Feb. 9, from 8:45 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., in the Amsler Campus Center Gym.”

This year’s featured keynote speaker will be Jamie Piperato, a social justice advocate and higher education consultant.

All college students who are student leaders or who are interested in pursuing a leadership role are encouraged to attend. Registration is free for MCLA students and staff, and $40 each for non-MCLA participants. The cost includes a continental breakfast and lunch.

Piperato is the founder of JPHigherEd, an identity-conscious professional development company that provides in-person trainings, online webinars, and online courses. A student affairs professional, she has extensive experience in higher education, in the areas of multicultural education, LGBTQ services, Title IX education, leadership, career development, and university housing.

Piperato received her Bachelor of Science degree in kinesiology at SUNY-Cortland, and a master’s degree in student affairs in high education at Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
