Slow: A Symposium in Praxis & Theory was a one-day interdisciplinary event co-hosted by MCLA’s The Mind’s Eye & MASS MoCA on November 1, 2019. Featuring over forty presentations and a keynote address by Tina Campt, the symposium explored temporalities of duration across the humanities and the arts. Papers span different fields and media, drawing from a variety of critical frameworks including literary studies, visual culture, museum studies, film, art history, design, pedagogy, sound studies, dance, journalism, digital arts and more. The program reflects a vibrant array of presentations and experiential sessions aimed to engage cross-disciplinary dialogue.
