About Me

A life-long teacher and aspiring jazz pianist, I approach all courses as a facilitator of improvisational (relatively spontaneous yet constrained by reference to a complex body of theory and information), inclusive, informed, and respectful philosophical dialogue.

Research/Creative Interests

I have published works in epistemology and metaphysics, ethics, the philosophy of education/critical thinking, and aesthetics; dabbled in fiction, poetry, gardening, and carpentry; and labored for decades to improve as a jazz pianist.
